Do you feel the need… the need for speed? Then you need to meet Maverick, our Adoptable Dog of the Week. He’s a 9-month-old Border Collie mix living in Northville, Michigan. Maverick is already neutered, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Maverick’s Tale:

Meet Maverick, a 9-month-old Border Collie mix. There is only one way to describe him: AWESOME! Maverick had an owner who left him behind as he moved. He’s still a younger puppy with energy to jog, play ball, and take longer walks. He would love a more active family. He is smart, knows the command sit, down, and walks pretty well on a leash. He is learning crate training now and doing well, has been quiet and sleeps in it at night. His favorite part of life is being outside playing fetch; he brings the ball back after a short trip around, sits or lies near you waiting for you to take the ball. Once you have it, he will sit on command and wait patiently for you to throw it again. He is enjoying his life of freedom, loves to roll in the grass, play fetch and is a happy go lucky guy.
