pawTree is a cool concept that delivers customized nutrition and pet products to your door, and lets you make money by becoming a petPro

When PetGuide.com met pawTree at a recent conference, we knew that it was a company we had to share with our readers. Not only do they carry customized dog food, they also have a complete line of adorable, stylish and comfy pet products you can order online. On top of all that, they offer pet parents the chance to earn income by becoming a petPro and throwing their own Pawlooza (think Tupperware party, but for dogs).

Customized Dog Food

Let’s face it: shopping for dog food is overwhelming. Commercials recommend one thing, stores are full of promoted brands, and everyone you talk to seems to know what’s best for your dog. Raw diet, grain free, gluten free – the choices are endless and can be incredibly confusing. There are almost as many fad diets for dogs as there are for people. And that’s where pawTree is positioning itself.

The key to their food is customized dog nutrition profiles. With some background information (provided by you), their website is designed to customize a meal plan just for your dog to address their specific needs, such as dry skin, bad breath, stiff joints, etc.

So how is pawTree putting together a nutrition plan that’s just right for your dog? They’ve set up a veterinarian advisory council to get the balance spot on. Their nutrition philosophy is simple: every dog is different, yet they should all be eating quality food. They guarantee that all of their foods:

    How to Sign up

Signing up for your pet’s personalized profile is simple: just click on the pawTree profile page and answer a few questions. It will ask you your dog’s breed, age, size and you can upload a photo. The next step is to address your concerns with your dog. Is their coat dry? Do they have bad breath? How active is your dog? With this kind of information, they go to work to create a custom plan for your dog.

    What’s in the Nutritional Plan?

Once the profile is filled out, pawTree will show you a plan customized especially for your dog. Not only do they recommend food, but treats and chews as well. When I typed in Maria’s specs, they suggested a turkey based diet, salmon oil and dental chews. And the best part – you can have it shipped to your door on a regular basis by becoming a member of the Paw Club. With the Paw Club you’ll receive benefits such as discounts on shipping, Paw Points, a referral program and member exclusive specials.

I really hate the feeling of having to rush to the pet food store because Maria is out of food and I forgot, so I fell in love with this program. And the dog food comes with her name on it and her picture; can it get any more adorable?

    Pawlooza Parties

Here’s a cool perk from pawTree – if you love it like I do and want to spread the word, you can – all while making some extra cash. You can sign up for the petPro program to host Pawlooza parties, much like a jewelry or Tupperware party. Gather all your friends in one place (your house or someone else’s) where you’ll show them why you love their products. It’s a great excuse to get together, open a bottle of wine, share some snacks and shop for your pup! There’s lots to choose from – food, toys, supplements, toys, blinged-out collars, food bowls, and so much more. Plus, you’ll earn discounts and free products.

Educating people on pet nutrition is an important aspect of this company and that’s why I find it to be so appealing. They aren’t just trying to sell you a brand; they are teaching a way of life for your dog. I might eat fast food every now and then, but I always want what’s best for my dog. They eat the same food day in and day out and it’s essential for it to be nutritious. pawTree teaches this culture and educates pet owners on how to feed their pets so they can live long and happy lives.
