Diane Wilkinson might just be the coolest principal on the face of the planet, after she and a student take ’80s-inspired yearbook photo with their pets

High school senior Draven Rodriguez had a simple dream: to have his yearbook photo taken with his beloved cat, Mr. Bigglesworth. In a bid to express his tongue-in-cheek personality and make people laugh at the same time, Draven set out to make his dream a reality.

There was no school policy against such a portrait, but then again — why would there be?

Worried that the school might put the kibosh on his kitty’s close-up, Draven even started a pre-emptive petition to allow Mr. Bigglesworth to appear in his graduating photo.

Turns out, he didn’t need that petition after all: officials were completely fine with Mr. Bigglesworth’s mug posing for posterity in Schenectady High School’s Class of 2015 yearbook.

More than fine, actually.

Draven was told that while he and Mr. Bigglesworth will not appear in the ‘Senior Portraits’ area of the yearbook, they will be featured in another section, a compromise the high school senior was more than happy with.

But it doesn’t end there — Principal Diane Wilkinson had other plans.

Mr. Bigglesworth is a rescue and coincidentally, so is Wilkinson’s Chihuahua, Vivienne. Principal Wilkinson decided to make Draven’s yearbook photo that much more awesome by having the two of them pose with their rescue animals (tacky laser backdrop included). ‘

Can you say “Best. Principal. EVER”??

The picture will appear in the 2015 yearbook to raise awareness for the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.

(We also secretly wish our high school principals were this cool!)
